PARENT FOUNDATIONS · FOR PARENTS & CAREGIVERS

Practical strategies for the parts of the day that keep falling apart.

Parent-only coaching for parents, grandparents and caregivers of younger kids who are ADHD, Autistic or AuDHD, diagnosed or not. We build routines and supports around your child’s executive functioning, so home runs a little smoother.

Does this sound like your house?

WHY PARENT-ONLY

You're the one who's there for the hard moments

You spend far more time with your child than I ever will. When you know how to set up routines, visual supports and smoother transitions, the strategies happen where they matter: at home, in the moment.

It also means your child doesn’t need to sit through sessions to benefit. You bring back what’s happening at home, and we adjust from there.

What we can work on

You choose the goals. These are some of the most common places people start.

Morning and bedtime routines

Clear, predictable steps so the same fights don’t repeat every day.

Transitions

First-then plans, warnings and visuals that make switching activities easier.

Everyday independence

Getting dressed, tidying up and other tasks your child can do with less help.

Big feelings

Noticing what happens before a meltdown and planning for those moments.

Visual schedules and supports

Simple tools your child can see and use, set up around your home.

Caregiver teamwork

Getting parents, grandparents and other caregivers using the same approach.

The full picture

We walk through a typical day: what’s working, what isn’t and what you’d like to change.

3

Small experiments

We pick one or two goals, build a plan, and you try it at home between sessions.

4

Adjust and build

We look at what happened, adjust the plan and add the next goal when you’re ready.

Questions about this package

No. Cusp offers behavioural coaching, not diagnostic assessments.  You’re welcome whether your child is diagnosed, self-identified as a family, or you’re still figuring it out.

Parent Foundations is designed for parents and caregivers of younger children to early teens. When your teen is ready to collaborate on goals, they can join us in our Family Foundations program

Parent Foundations is designed to work with caregivers to identify the strategies and build the skills to implement these strategies in everyday life. If your child is around during the session, that’s okay. My goal is to build capacity within caregivers. If your child is a teen, Family Foundations includes them directly.

You’re with your child for the moments that matter most: the rushed mornings, the transitions and the hard evenings. When you learn the strategies, they happen at home in real time instead of only in a session. Research supports this approach. Studies of behavioural parent training for ADHD have found fewer ADHD symptoms and behaviour problems, more positive parenting, greater parent confidence and better parent-child relationships, with benefits lasting months after training ended. Parent-implemented strategies are also an established evidence-based practice for autistic children. Your child doesn’t have to sit through appointments, and any caregiver involved in their day-to-day life is welcome to join.

Yes. Parents, step-parents, grandparents and other relatives raising a child are all welcome.
